RFH Chapter 06 — [R15]

 Episode 6

'Wait, so who exactly saved my life?'

Min Hyemi decided to carefully revisit her memories of the past.

When she was swept away by the dimensional rift and arrived in a strange world, a system window like this appeared before her eyes.

[Congratulations!

<Min Hyemi>, you have arrived in the world of <19+ Hardcore Reverse Harem Obsession, Kidnapping, Confinement, and Depravity>!

Enjoy your new life in this world!]

"What... What is this?"

At the time, she doubted her own eyes. No matter how hard she rubbed them, nothing changed.

She had heard of cases where people went missing after being caught in a dimensional rift, but she never imagined she would experience such a thing herself, much less end up in such a bizarre world.

"Send me back! Please, send me back home!"

But no matter how much she screamed, nothing changed.

Struggling to survive in the strange world, Min Hyemi managed to secure a maid's position in a grand duke's household.

And then...

'Censored! Censored!'

What happened next is not suitable for a 19-and-under audience, haha.

Anyway, that’s how it went...

'Was there someone who helped me in that place?'

No, not at all. If there had been even one person who helped her, her life wouldn’t have turned out that way.

Every night, she made the same wish:

'Please let all those bastards who claim to love me die. No, forget that, just let them all die!'

Of course, despite her desperate prayers, her wishes never came true. Those bastards lived comfortably and happily.

Having spent three years in that hellish life, one day, just like when she first fell into the world, she suddenly found herself able to leave it.

[Congratulations!

<God> has taken pity on you!

You are being returned to your original world!]

And just like that, a system window appeared, and she was sent back here.

'Wait, could it be...?'

Was the 'God' mentioned here the one who saved her life?

'Wait, is this one of those 'Constellation' genres (where transcendent beings sponsor specific humans)?'

Although she hadn’t yet heard of any constellations appearing... maybe one day, a constellation would come to take her away from that world, and a romance would unfold—wasn’t that how these stories go?

She contemplated her future for a long time but couldn’t come up with any answers.

"Ah, well. If I keep living like this, something will happen eventually."

Although she had no desire to experience a romance storyline, that was a problem for future her to worry about.

She erased any thoughts of quests from her mind entirely.

Fortunately, her car was repaired quickly.

Due to the frequent disasters, car repair shops in Korea had become highly advanced.

"Lee Ruri, can you input the location into the navigation system?"

"Sure!"

She could hear Lee Ruri fiddling with the navigation as Min Hyemi drove according to the directions.

After a while, the scene that unfolded before her eyes was nothing short of a one-sided massacre.

"This is..."

It’s not unusual for monster battlefields to look gruesome.

But today was different.

The monsters lay dead with no visible injuries, their bodies completely intact.

‘… Killing without causing injuries is even harder.’

Whoever could achieve such a feat must be...

Her gaze soon landed on a man standing alone in the middle of the battlefield.

'Seon Jejun.'

It was the man she had met during the previous attack on the headquarters. Once again, he was standing before her.

Even as her car came to a halt, Seon Jejun remained still, not even turning around. He seemed utterly unguarded.

"Wow, that guy must be incredibly strong,"

Lee Ruri murmured as she stepped out of the car, tilting her head curiously.

"... You don’t know who he is?"

"Uh-uh, I have no idea!"

As expected of Lee Ruri. Truly clueless, like the heroine in an internet novel who doesn’t even recognize the ‘Four Kings.’

While Min Hyemi stared at Seon Jejun’s back with a slightly stunned expression, she moved closer to clean up the monster corpses.

At that moment—

"Ah!"

A tentacle suddenly sprang out from the gaping mouth of one of the monsters.

'No way, not a tentacle plotline!'

Instinctively, Min Hyemi swung the shovel in her hand at the tentacle.

The tentacle staggered from the direct hit.

As she braced herself for the next attack, the tentacle suddenly disappeared in an instant.

It vanished completely—without leaving a drop of blood or a single trace behind.

When she looked up, she saw Seon Jejun staring at her.

He blinked slowly, with an oddly languid expression, and asked,

"Did you kill it?"

"...Sorry? Didn’t you just make it disappear, Hunter?"

"Oh, I did, didn’t I?"

"….....?"

He was truly an incomprehensible man.

"...Sorry about that. I didn’t know tentacles would come out after it was dead."

"Oh, no... It’s fine..."

Min Hyemi replied with a slightly awkward tone before quietly stepping back.

In typical female-lead action-romance novels, this is where someone like Seon Jejun, the strong hunter, would get entangled in a romance with the protagonist. But she didn’t want that kind of life.

Thus, without sparing him another glance, she focused on cleaning up the monster corpses.

"The body is too big to fit into the bag. I’ll probably have to dismantle the horns, skin, and claws."

"Wow..."

"Don’t play dumb—start pulling out the claws."

She was well-practiced in dealing with Lee Ruri, so issuing commands wasn’t something she hesitated to do.

While they worked quietly, Min Hyemi noticed that Seon Jejun hadn’t left yet.

He stood there, silently watching them.

'What the hell is his deal?'

Did she unknowingly do something wrong? Or—please, no—was this another romance plotline where he fell for her? She absolutely didn’t want that.

If someone could hear her thoughts, they might ask, "Why do you keep assuming people are falling for you?" But for her, it was a natural conclusion.

'You guys try living the life of a 19+ romance-fantasy female lead...'

Even the most naive person would learn to be wary of every man around them.

At that moment, Lee Ruri, who was separating claws from the monster’s paw, looked up at Min Hyemi.

"Hyemi-chan..."

It was the first time Min Hyemi had seen Lee Ruri make that kind of expression. She had never seen her look so serious.

But Lee Ruri, with a face full of fear, said,

"A rift... A rift is going to appear... and you..."

She started murmuring incomprehensible words.

"Wait, did you just see the future?"

Lee Ruri occasionally, and involuntarily, glimpsed the future due to her <Heroine Perk> skill.

"A rift is going to appear?"

"This isn’t good..."

"Hey, where is it going to appear?"

"Hyemi-chan!"

Suddenly, Lee Ruri lunged at Min Hyemi and pushed her away.

At the same time, a massive rift opened in the world.

The spot where Min Hyemi had been standing just moments ago turned pitch black, consuming everything in its vicinity.

"...What?"

Min Hyemi blinked in confusion, her face blank.

Lee Ruri was gone.

In her place, a system window appeared before Min Hyemi’s eyes
